It's Time: Commit to a Healthier America

As we near the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding, we are forever indebted to the pioneers, ranchers, inventors, and servicemen and women who poured their hearts, sweat, and very lives into building the America we cherish. Remember your great great grandmother her hands calloused from relentless toil, nursing a feverish child in the sweltering prairie heat of a sod home. Think of the soldier, bloody and marred on the fields of Shiloh, facing his final moments, having sacrificed himself so that all men may be free. Imagine the farmer, stripped of everything by dust and drought, yet laboring in distant camps, his sweat contributing to the greatest engineering feats of his era. These men and women rose to every challenge before them and gave us more than a nation—they gave us the chance to thrive. Now, it’s our duty to honor their legacy by taking up the challenge of our time: our health crisis.

America faces a dire health crisis: 42% of our population is obese, the highest rate in the world, posing a growing threat to our national security and vitality. Freedom isn’t free—it demands our strength, resilience, and commitment to maintain the nation our forebears built. We owe it to them, and to future generations, to act decisively, by taking personal responsibility for your health, you’re not just transforming your own life—you’re fortifying the foundation of a stronger, healthier America. This pledge is your commitment to rise to this challenge, to make choices to improve your body and mind, and to honor the sacrifices of those who came before us by ensuring we pass on a thriving nation.
